ACT 3: FEAR
(PREMIERE 2025)
A creation where we will showcase and catalog current fears, an artistic-social space to understand, dialogue, confront, and attempt to free ourselves from the fears that paralyze us; thus transforming the negative emotions associated with them (stress, anxiety, isolation, depression) into positive emotions (feeling of freedom, empowerment, fulfillment, etc.).
A living testimony of post-pandemic fears and at the same time a space for dialogue, reflection, and future possibilities, which will allow us to deeply examine the current moment of emotional emergency and the possible solutions to transform these fears into positive emotions and attitudes of empowerment.
FEAR will be an immersive theater artistic experience adapted to each space, where through different tools such as performing arts, visual arts, sound language, visual poetry, and humor, we will invite the audience to embark on an emotional journey where they can experience their own fears and discover those of others.
SALA 1: WELCOME
This will be the space where visitors are welcomed to the museum. We will provide instructions to the audience and a place to leave personal belongings. Mobile phones are not allowed in the museum; they will be placed in specially designed cages to keep them safe during the visit, allowing visitors to be free from external stimuli.
SALA 2. THE CATALOG OF FEARS
In this room, we will be able to see all the fears we have collected so far through the different collectors we have created: the Psychomagic Act, the trip, and the Fear Laboratory.
The catalog is a collection of fears painted by the artist Quim Moya. In this space, we will try to categorize the fears to understand their relationships and which fears hide other fears.
SALA 3. FEARS SPEAK
In this room, we will listen to the testimonies of people who have fears and how these fears limit us from doing what we would like to do. We imagine a dark space where fears can be expressed and speak to each other, and where visitors can also express their own fears
The first three rooms belong to the phase of understanding which fears predominate in society today
and what effects they can have on us
SALA 4. WHAT IS YOUR FEAR?
This will be a space where we can express our fears through visual arts and other collection tools (sound and visual). We imagine a temporary artwork in the form of a mural of fears, where visitors’ fears can be made visible. This medium of expression will also allow us to connect with ourselves, linking our fear to our current moment and identifying if our fear is a survival fear, a fear that hides another fear, a root fear, or an unreal fear.
The mural of fears will gradually transform into an ephemeral artwork created in situ by the visitors.
LA 5, 6 i 7. ROOT FEARS
According to the consultations we have had with experts in the social, therapeutic, psychological, and scientific fields, there are three major fears in the Western world that hide all other fears: the fear of loneliness, the fear of going insane, and the fear of death.
We will dedicate a room to each of these fears to approach and confront them, proposing an act of liberation, catharsis, and transformation of these fears.
SALA 8. THE FINAL RITUAL
Once we have visited the museum, seen the predominant fears in our society, expressed our own fear, confronted it, and performed an act of liberation, it is time for the collective ritual to share the experienced and current moment, generating the idea of community.
The audience can decide where they want to go and to what extent they want to be involved at each moment, making their own journey-experience.
The capacity and number of rooms will be decided in each case with the organizer. The spaces where the museum can be situated may vary (theater, exhibition hall, hangar, house, etc.). We can install the museum across both indoor and outdoor spaces.
